I was just talking to my roommates about how concert promoters have a way of hyping a show/band that can make you feel duped afterward. Back in 1997 I saw the first OzzFest tour. It was billed as the last time Black Sabbath (w/ Mike Bordin filling in for original drummer Bill Ward) would play. The lineup included Pantera and Marilyn Manson. i was up late last night watching daft punk's electronic musical "interstella 5555." im surprised that i let it slip by me, seeing that it came out in 2003. so this is what I5555 is. Every track on daft punk's "Discovery" album was accompanied by an anime episode. its a great story and the quality of animation is solid. you will even see Daft Punk make a cameo. Every track is a killer, i mean come on... its daft punk. here's track 3, "digital love," one of my favs.... MORE

I really didn't like this second LP from Daft Punk very much for about the first year or so it was out. But after a while I was really drawn to it. It's very, well, not American in it's musical stylings, that would make sense being that these guys are from France. Makes me want to hit the discos in Europe for sure...

love this song- such a happy, fun, and catchy song to sing and dance to

Now I actually have a good reason to do it. Checking stock quotes, reading about car modifications, and poring over tech press releases is just so "last 5 years" for me. ...from the "nothing-new-under-the-sun" Dept: ever hear a cut that made you think of something else that had absolutely nothing to do with said artist performing the song? The Daft Punk Video for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" totally reminded me of the cartoon series Star Blazers which pre-dated the slick anime we see now... maybe it's the drawings but I kept expecting to see Derek Wildstar's brown 'fro 'n bell-bottoms or his doe-eyed girlfriend Nova or somebody else ...
