All Music GuideThe eighth installment in Moonshine's ever evolving Psychotrance series featured a new name, Southern California's DJ Brian, and a hard, techy, progressive tilt to otherwise vocal-less club anthems like Cristian Varela's "Taruntan" and JC's "Percussive Persuasion." Reminiscent of his Hardesertrance mixes, DJ Brian incorporated more American echno than most, and while it was clear this was another hi-energy experience with a frantic pace from the start, there was an emphasis on avalanching snares and synth hi-hats typically regarded as tools for the Steve Lawler or DeeJay Punk-Roc crowd.
