Oh, Cursive, Cursive, Cursive... What are we supposed do with you? On the up side, literally almost everyone I know used to listen to you religiously eight or nine years ago. On the down side, that was, you know, eight or nine years ago... But hey, you're still here! Rockin' out, then, are you? How is post-rock these days? “Good?” That's super. And you released a new record this year after a f
One of my friends has seen Cursive a few times and he always reminds me that they can really hack it onstage and now after almost 3 years I’ll be able to see them.I’ve had previous opportunities but I always let them pass me by and I am not going to miss them this time. [...]
When it comes to the music of Tim Kasher, I am usually more inclined to listen to his albums created with The Good Life. I have often found his Cursive albums to be a little too chaotic and too intense for my liking. And being a lover of folk music, I have just always enjoyed [...]

Kasher and co's new video for their latest single, "From The Hips", is a bit strange. It's a quaint, if meandering, and at times corny take on dating, true love and possibly even polyamory --though the thesis is that we all have one person out there who's perfect for us. Oh, and that person might be the ex of one of our exes (?)
Singer Tim Kasher of Cursive has recorded some of my favorite vocal freak-outs of the past five years or so, and, hell, the band even features a rocking cellist! Probably the best use of cello I've heard from a rock band of their variety whose name is Cursive. Indeed, when I was a teenager, filled with all that angst that goes with being a teenager, Cursive was there for me. For these personal ...
