This weekend I had my computer hd on random and I was blessed with this gem from Culture. It really hit the spot in the light of their recent release of the 30th Anniversary release for Two Sevens Clash, Culture has been on my mind as of late. BEFORE the start of the US-led invasion of Iraq, the reggae group Culture recorded an album called "World Peace." take on "Sleng Teng" in the late 1980s, to great effect.Joseph Hill was a truly lovely man, and utterly devoted to music. It's perhaps kind of fitting that he died on tour.

So maybe Joseph Hill's vision of 1977 being the time for the day of judgment was a little off .... but that year wasn't so bad. Culture released their first album, "Oatmeal":http://mog.com/Oatmeal was born (Happy B-Day to him) and well for that matter so was I. Here is a cut off their second album - Harder than the rest.
