Alright, so the day is winding down, back to work here in NYC and I think I've dwindled down my inbox to a cozy 30 more unread to go from the 300+ I came into work to this morning...time for a break to document a lil' bit of my de-virginization of Coachella Music Festival..its official, I have been there! :) I'm actually seeing a lot of negative press releases about Coachella this year, mainly...
745p - YAY CROWDED HOUSE YAY!!they start w. "when you come", "the world where you live", "don't dream it's over", a new song and then "fall at your feet" - basically they play the good stuff off Woodface and the hits - ok, this is a little painful - when i lived overseas, Woodface was the soundtrack to my tormented love affair with a beautiful british boy - i still get teary when i listen to it...
8p - we got to arcade fire late, but just in time to hear "alexander" - they have transitioned nicely from the outdoor stage to the main stage - the whole band fills up the stage - they are good performers - they have a pretty big crowd since everyone is eating up this new album - the new stuff is good - i don't have the new album yet and since i don't know it, i lay down flat on the grass to j...
it maxes out at about 100+ degrees before 1pm - we are terrified...3p - catch the 2nd half of the Frames set after a pretty grueling walk in...it was a rough ride, but we made it...the Frames thank us for showing up 'cause they thought no one would be there because of the heat...even still, there are significantly fewer people here than i expected at this hour - anyway, they were sweet and play...
