All Music GuideThis 2006 issue by Music Pro features a Bernard Edwards-less Chic. (It's essentially a pick-up group Nile Rodgers put together to tour after his songwriting and production partner's death.) This is not to say that the "greatest-hits live" approach is bad or even substandard, because it's not. Rodgers is a crack musician who knows how to pull together as well as lead a band, and he does so here, taking a roll through not only Chic's hits but those of Sister Sledge as well. The sound is terrific, the performance is solid throughout, and the trademark sound of Edwards' bass is beautifully imitated to full effect here.
