A great song deserves a great video. Chairlift's Knife-inspired dance cut "Evident Utensil" satisfies its end of the equation, and director Ray Tintori's visual mind-fuckery here more than does its part: The Brooklyn-via-Denver trio walk through fields and paint-splattered sets, the film freezes and swirls, and the band re-emerges with facial features built from those previously paused pixels....
Brooklyn's Chairlift opens up for Ariel Pink's "Thanks Mom I'm Dead" tour tonight in Denton. I don't know much about these guys, but I've been listening to the shit out of this song lately:Here's another slightly less perfect song, originally found at the always prescient 20jfg. Chairlift's record comes out in November, but you can download it now on eMusic.mp3:chairlift :: evident utensil~~
