Browsing through the record shops the other day, I managed to pick up The Covers Record by Cat Power on sale. The stand-out track for me on this album has to be I Found A Reason, originally by The Velvet Underground. It is just beautiful and tugs at the heartstrings.... MORE

Hip Hop Thursday seems to be such a hit with the kids, that I am now proposing a sequel...Naked Friday...whaddya think? Actually...i just wanted to post some Cat Power...her 'Covers Record' never gets old...i can listen to this thing any time for an occasion...how many albums can you say that about? Not a lot..then again I think I could listen to Chan Marshall sing the phone book and I would find that more interesting than 90% of what I hear on a daily basis...her voice ... MORE

I haven't seen Cat Power live since she got her shit together and quit the alcoholism, so I'm pleasantly stunned by this video of her performance (click around) at the Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2007 runway show. She rocks so confidently that she ends up being way more charismatic than the models, to almost hilarious effect.
