Winston Rodney, is the Burning Spear! Check out this fairly recent footage of the Spear Burning with a very tight back up band...the horn section is especially on hit. But you have to wait 'till the end for the conch solo...enjoy! the video does work..click it.

....and here is the good Reggae Physician, Dr Winston Rodney to cure all ills - this comes from the album 'Appointment with His Majesty', but I've got it on a CD called 'Cultural Riddims' - issued by a Dutch label which specialised in compilations of different genres, in which you got 14 killer tracks for £3.99 - genres including reggae, blues, country, tex-mex etc. I haven't seen any for several years - anyone got any information ?

So for some reason, I can listen to any music I want at work, but not reggae. I don't get it. It's not like the moment reggae music comes on, I just can't hold back and have to spark up a doobie. I'm pretty sure they would be down with Megadeath, even if it made me grow horns, but Reggae is just not good work place music. I don't know why I put Burning Spear up in the tag stuff except that I'd really like to listen to them, except the man is holding me down. Damn the ... MORE

I REMEBER THE FIRST TIME I SAW HIM LIVE AT PROSPECT PARK BANDSHELL TWO YEARS AGO, WHAT AN ULTIMATE HIGH! HIS BAND IS THE BEST AND I COULD FEEL THE WORDS IN EACH SONG HE CHANTED WITH COMPLETE POSITIVE VIBRATIONS.
