I am 41. 40! 1! I have been in a band for 6 years. We played SXSW, for god's sake. So, what did I do last week? I spent 5 minutes at a friend's house playing Guitar Hero, immediately turned to my wife and said,"we're getting this. Tomorrow." Went to EB Games, returned a bunch of crap I don't play anymore, got GH1 and 2 and a guitar for a ridiculously low price and lost the next 7 days of my life. Easy level? check. Medium level? Saw Burning Brides open for Eagles of Death Metal and Peaches last night at the Fillmore. A real treat - quite excellent Stooges-esque kinda power trio hard rock. Their bassist is named Melani Campbell. I must say, this woman seriously rocks. If you have seen them, you know what I mean. If you haven't; highly recommended. Getting up there in pure ferocious bass energy in the realm of Chuck Dukowski and Mike Watt back in the day, but in more pure rockin' style. And look... MORE
