Sometimes I find music in surprising places. I discovered Josh Ritter, for instance, when I heard "Good Man" on a House episode, and from there it was only a few steps to my computer where I could buy The Animal Years. I have spent hours this week catching up with an old friend, Buffalo Tom. I think they sort of got lost in the shuffle of the 90's musical revolution. While grunge and rap-rock hybrids nabbed all of the sales and all of the press, Buffalo Tom just churned out several great rock records...

Sundays are for covers. And it is SO humid outside, I really have no interest in leaving the house. So, i will dig into my archives and share some of my favorites today.

That's a line, or rather part of the chorus from Velvet Roof by Buffalo Tom, another 90s band that deserved better than they got. Really, that's what all my posts are about. Those of you listening with fresh ears will probably not hear anything remarkable, but their brand of melodic, guitar driven rock with personal lyrics was new and interesting at the time...
