All Music GuideA '92 CD reissue of some '70s Buddy Rich tracks for RCA. The anthology avoids most of the pop and rock covers and concentrates on the hardest-hitting jazz-oriented pieces. Tenor saxophonist Steve Marcus was the only other true "star" in the band besides Rich, and he showed that he deserved to be the principal soloist.
