Saw Buddy last night in Manchester and I can safely see it was the most incredible and soulful performance I have ever experienced. When I wake up with the blues, I can only turn to the greats for solace. A few years ago, the legendary Buddy Guy got divorced, and then put out an album of slow, sad blues songs, which had never been his style. Buddy has always been more of the smoking, leave 'em dead and gasping, kind of blues guitarist.
And, a snappy dresser, as I think you will agree.

Perhaps the most important blues musician still touring today (I'd say tied with B.B. King) is Buddy Guy. Without a doubt the best showman to ever play the blues, and the biggest influence to all the rock guitar guys from the late 60's early 70's. Eric Clapton said "Buddy Guy was to me what Elvis was for others.He is by far and without a doubt the best guitar player alive...if you see him in person, the way he plays is beyond anyone." The opening credits to "Hustle and Flow" roll over this song. I've seen this movie about 10 times. I've always meant to track down this song. Added it to my collection a few weeks ago.
