Over the weekend, drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep. Danny underwent surgery TODAY and is recovering well. Rescheduled tour dates will be announced shortly. In my opinion, one of Buckethead's finest moments. He's done a lot of great stuff but Population Override gets me every time I listen to it. From "Unrestrained Growth" with a funky sludge breakdown to the last track "..." ending the album on a bluesy note, the album finds balance throughout while skipping from metal to funk to blues to ambient guitar noodling without breaking concentration. Buckethead might be best known for wearing that creepy mask and a KFC bucket on his head, and playing some of the fastest, noisiest, most insane-sounding experimental music out there. But to me, the (relatively) understated album "Colma" is his masterpiece. You won't come across many "guitar heroes" who are willing to tone down the rock to something this mellow and atmospheric.
