Ahh, the middle. What a wonderful place this middle is. I know I don't come here often, but my sojourn has been rewarding.
Also, Emily Haines states in her interview that she wants to be a sound. I want to be Mr. T. We all have our dreams. What is yours?
Emily Haines.

This is a great version of "Handjobs for the Holidays" on the Current in Minnesota. I guess they couldn't say Handjob on public radio. But apparently it's a holiday song, so Merry something.

...but it's my one year mog-niversary today! In merely a year, my music library has expanded tenfold (maybe more) with the help of artists such as The Decemberists, Cat Power, Stars, John Vanderslice, etc. etc. etc. I have seen more live shows than I'd ever have imagined in a lifetime. And of course, I found a place that feels like home. For me, mog is an escape from the judging eyes of the I-like-whatever's-on-the-radio-type-Top-40-obsessed population. I dared to be differen... Backwards from Feist to Broken Social Scene I go.
Somehow, in all of the articles I have recently read about Feist, the name Broken Social Scene only managed to tap lightly on the door of my subconscious information storage system. By accident I came across them online. By accident I forgot to buy one of their CDs this weekend when laying down some serious cash for some other purchases. Had to go back to Cutler's, and dammit, they only had one of the CDs, the self-titled... MORE

Saw this today on the Yahoo Nine. These are incredible scenes down the streets of New York following the bike messengers across town, amazing risk taking here... I don't think I could trust the bus inches away from my pedals!!! The Music is Broken Social Scene, so surreal and mellow, kinda takes you into a dream state listening and watching this. Cheers, INDY... MORE

On September 18th Arts&Crafts will release, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE PRESENTS KEVIN DREW , "SPIRIT IF..." At last, some rock solid news from the notoriously slippery Broken Social Scene camp! Central Scene figure Kevin Drew will release a solo album of sorts on September 18 via Arts & Crafts. Technically titled Broken Social Scene Presents Kevin Drew, "Spirit If...", the LP was produced by Drew, along with fellow BSSers Ohad Benchetrit and Charles Spearin... MORE

I have to wake up in Seven hours for Work Work Work... To those of you with 8 to 5s or 9 to 6s you understand my admiration for this blessed day. The only way I get through it just fine is if my morning routine includes a swim (or run), some reading (or mogging) and blackberries (I can't function with out them) so I dont feel super sluggish when I get to work...so here is a reminder about waking up on time and not being late to work...or dates or both...Just wake up already a... More musical poetry for my english project. Yay.
I learned the truth when I was young, one day during dusk and summer
Clouded over by those antichrist television blues
It’s the end of the world as we know it
Plastered up on the green and grey screen
The coup of Haiti, the destruction of the wall
Pink bullets flying over the fields
It’s twisted when you find out that caring is creepy
Strange when the perfect situation’s to see pretty girls make graves
Plans get com... MORE
