In searching for a track for my maiden post, I stumbled across a disc I hadn't played in ages. I put it on while rummaging through my old LPs and tattered album sleeves and was instantly brought back to a plane flying from the New World (LA) to the Old One (London)

Bout a month or so ago I read that Breakestra were coming to Australia. If you are familiar with Breakestra then you’ll know that it didn’t take me more than a millisecond to confirm I would do everything I could to see them. I saw Breakestra for the first time recently and they were amazing. VERY funky but in a Grant Green way. Very fun horn-driven stuff too like Blue Note 1970's. The bass player even banged around on a stand up a bit. MC kind of rapper/singer guy who was great too.
