Branded Women are a Rockin Indie-Dream-electro-Pop band from Helsinki Finland, and they put out enough energy for me to include them in my series about the Nordic Hi Energy Rock and Roll scene. I don't recall the first time that I really took notice of them, but they were included on 'Pushing Scandinavian Rock To The Man! This one is for the Salve Restaurant, a stop I make on every trip to Finland... last time I was there I ordered the Hawaiian, which they couldn't explain in english, but somehow I knew it was chicken.... From Helsinki, Finland comes the band Branded Women and they are SO good. On a january trip to Helsinki my brother asked me to pick up a copy of this CD for him. And as I'm a record junkie I happily volunteered to be the pusher man for once. I have one of their previous albums on vinyl and it didn't quite grab me.
