This four-song EP features Bow Wow Wow's biggest hit, "I Want Candy," which is a cover of the Strangeloves' 1965 hit, plus three other songs that are all included on the full-length album I Want Candy. Bow Wow Wow's lead singer, Annabella Lwin, as usual, is nude on the cover.
Sometimes, a cover becomes the definitive version. Certainly, Annabel and fellow Mohicans picked a fine obscurity to start a party too. Been spinning them the last few days, and must say I'm surprised how well it's held up. To my aging ears at least :)Seriously, The Strangeloves never had a chance, did they?...and their efforts at covers were not helping the case...
