Recently tripped over Bonde Do Role via Diplo and Cansei De Ser Sexy, not entirely sure why but i'm really liking what little stuff they've released, especially the Melo Do Tobaco EP. Never thought I'd hear Henry Mancini, The Darkness, Manfred Mann, bits of the Grease soundtrack, Aphex Twin and Alice In Chains spewing from the same record... I've been really into listening to Bonde Do Role these past few days. Their brand of baile funk has been keeping the -20 degree wind chill out of my bones. They have an EP that just came out on Mad Decent (Diplo's label) that's pretty sweet. Those of you into CSS (who BDR toured with this past fall) will want to check these guys out.
