catching up on post and just read indiepixie's post about rotolo, so that put me in a dylan state of mind
Masters of War is a song by Bob Dylan, written in 1963 and released on the album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. It is an adaptation, with new words by Dylan, of Nottamun Town. As with many of the major songs Dylan composed at this time, he often adapted or "borrowed" melodies from traditional songs. I was listening to "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" and "Corrina, Corrina" is without a doubt my favourite track. Kind of strange, since it isn't even one of his tunes (yeah, I wrote "tune" instead of "song", you bet), but just listen to it. SO good. For real, just listen. Go ahead. Do it. I dare you.

This concert is out of New York City's Philharmonic Hall, on Halloween. I like that it was in New York because so much of Bob's career blossumed from what he has called "The Capital of the World." This entire concert featured Bob Dyan, his harmonica, his guitar, and also fellow folk artist Joan Baez. And isn't it just nice that our fearless leader would rather spend his time attacking former political opponents rather than figuring out how to casually slip out of this worsening civil war and bring our sons and daughters home where they belong...
