Bob Dylan's former flame Suze Rotolo, the woman Dylan is walking with on the cover of his breakthrough album, The Frewheelin' Bob Dylan , is writing her autobiography. Masters of War is a song by Bob Dylan, written in 1963 and released on the album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. It is an adaptation, with new words by Dylan, of Nottamun Town. As with many of the major songs Dylan composed at this time, he often adapted or "borrowed" melodies from traditional songs. I was listening to "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" and "Corrina, Corrina" is without a doubt my favourite track. Kind of strange, since it isn't even one of his tunes (yeah, I wrote "tune" instead of "song", you bet), but just listen to it. SO good. For real, just listen. Go ahead. Do it. I dare you.

This concert is out of New York City's Philharmonic Hall, on Halloween. I like that it was in New York because so much of Bob's career blossumed from what he has called "The Capital of the World." This entire concert featured Bob Dyan, his harmonica, his guitar, and also fellow folk artist Joan Baez. Bob Dylan was precieved as a symbol of the civil rights and anti-war movements (which were false perceptions) This concert caught a different less "political" side of Bob... MORE

I picked this book up in high school at a local (central Wisconsin) bookstore and it is one of the best I've read on the general subject of Bob Dylan, and it was written within 40 miles of where I grew up/picked up the book. I found it fascinating to learn about Bobby D. nee Robert Zimmerman, not so much because I am particularly interested in what temple he went to or what his neighbors had to say about him as a bratty teenager (although there are some humorous anecdotes...
