Bo Diddley works his patented hambone beat derived from '40s Southwestern bands (who called the rhythm "cut and shave") on "Bring It to Jerome," "Roadrunner," "Hey Bo Diddley" (13:44) ,and "Mona." His doo wop roots sprout on "I'm Sorry" and "Tonight Is Ours." And he marries lues and R&B on Willie Dixon's "You Can't Judge a Book By Looking at the Cover." This tight set is enough Diddley to satisfy most palates.
