On day two Twangfest moved to The Duck Room at Blueberry Hill (the venue formerly known at Cicero's and launching pad for Uncle Tupelo).
The night opened with Two Cow Garage bringing the rock. They've just released their third album (III) and their endless touring has honed their performance as well as their songwriting. Moving from 'almost but not quite as good as Slobberbone' to 'sounds kinda like a twangy Soul Asylum.'

This album for me reminds me of driving from Northern Utah to Northwestern Idaho. I know the "blue" mountains are in the east but the wildness and grandeur of Idaho's razor peaks and lush forests are complimented perfectly by this band and this album.... MORE

Something about this song that is all about summer to me and the redemption of dippin' yourself into a cool lake. Blue Mountain was an alt-country act active in the 90's, and the album is full of great songs.
