I still have a hard time believing it has been 30 years since Blondie's breakthrough album, Parallel Lines was released. Back in 1978, I'd already been seeing Blondie play live for a little over a year. None of us who hung out together with the Blondies - including the band themselves - could have believed the extent to which they hit it big with that silly, throw-away "disco song," Heart of Glass.
