Doing some dull stuff today, so cranking the stereo to help the time fly is a priority. But then this comes on. I'm helpless and have to play it over and over - it keeps me off the dull stuff but I'm not getting anything done. Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton played together at MSG on Feb 26th - effectively half of Blind Faith. I was never a fan of that group and while I've loved both Winwood and Clapton I would never have pursued a copy of this concert if I hadn't been to... MORE

Clapton & Winwood Reunite For NYC Concerts

Artist:
Other Tags: Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton
Blog post image preview Eric Clapton is hooking up with another friend who's got "a rock n roll heart," Steve Winwood, for a three night run of shows at New York's Madison Square Garden. It will be like a mini-Blind Faith reunion but sans Ginger Baker and Ric Grech, the latter passed away in 1990. The last time Blind Faith played MSG was on July 12, 1969. The band finished the tour promoting their eponymous and only album, Blind Faith. By October of 1969 Blind Faith was no more. The Winwood/C... MORE

When you're younger, and naive, life experiences mean more, people and friends are more genuine, the sun shines a little brighter, and we're always a lot happier.Gettin out of school, first summer with a driver's license, first music loves, great discoveries, balanced with youth slipping slowly away. Being at the quarry, swimming, jumping off the edge fifty feet into the clearest water ever. Riding home, windows down, no shoes, hair and clothes wet, peach flavored Clear... MORE

Blog post image preview Blind Faith, the ‘super group’ comprised of Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Rick Grech and Ginger Baker, released just one album, 1969’s Blind Faith. The controversial cover of Blind Faith. The group was supposed to take what Clapton and Baker had done in Cream to another level. But the album didn’t quite live up to the hype, containing only one truly classic track, “Can’t Find My Way Home.” The group debuted at Hyde Park in London on June 7, 1969 with an audience of 1... OK ... my first post ... just started my page last night ...thank you rocknrollpimp ... what to do? When you are of a certain "age" you have all of the above. You have some vinyl that you also replaced with casettes, some casettes you replaced with CDs ... when does it stop? I have soooooo many albums from the 60s and 70s ... and soooooo many casettes from the late 70s and 80s ... and most of the time I listen to my iPOD. Question ... do I buy the CD or just download? I ne... MORE
