There are three things that stick out on my list of childhood horrors. The first is the time I got stung by a bee. The second is the time I didn't get a Nintendo for Christmas, and the third was The "Street Fighter" movie starring Jean Claude Van Damme. They took one of the greatest video games ever created and RUINED it.
Over a decade later, a sequel to Street Fighter has been planned, and Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas will play the role of Vega. Vega is a spanish bull... MORE

Did you see that story today about Republican ex-congressman (and evangelical maniac) Mark Siljander being indicted for shipping money off to Taliban war lord and terrorist Gulbuddin Hekmatyar? "Where Is The Love" comes from the L.A.-based Black Eyed Pears' 2003 breakthrough album, Elephunk. It hit #1 almost everywhere in the world (except in the U.S., where he just managed to eke out a top 10-- despite the presence on it of Justin Timberlake). I doubt it was #1 in Afghanista... MORE

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has denied reports that she will use her songs to promote products, according to NME .
Claims were made the singer had signed a deal with clothing brand Candie's that would involve her including the fashion line in the lyrics of her songs.
"There is absolutely no truth in the media reports that Fergie has agreed to product placement in her songs," explained a spokesperson for the singer. "She does have a commercial deal with the... MORE

This summer, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am will be releasing a line of jeans titled “i.am Antik", which he describes as "an International Premium lifestyle denim brand". The jeans are a partnership between the rapper/producer and Blue Holdings, a major clothing apparell company, Business Wire reports.
Will.i.am was a former student at the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles, and designed things for his bandmates before, so this partnership ... MORE

While fellow Black Eyed Pea Fergie has been flying first class up in the sky and Will.I.Am has been readying his solo album Songs About Girls and producing on R&B heartthrob Chris Brown’s new album…Taboo has been getting mixed up with the law. The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jaime Luis Gomez, was charged for driving under the influence and possession of both marijuana and prescribed drugs obtained without a prescription on May 10th. Add it up and that’s t... MORE

Hey y'all. I was just reading down my MOG and looked at "Top Artists This Week" and was happy with what I saw. It was true. EXCEPT one little band... BLACK EYED PEAS . I find it hard to belive I have been listening to them this week, probably because I DONT OWN ANY OF THEIR MUSIC ! I don't get this - I thought my Mog-O-Meter was going good.. it was. Melissa just confessed to me, last night, while playing Phase 10 with her mom and sister, that she likes "My Humps" as a guilty pleasure.
Should I let it go, figuring it's the cards talking? Or should I do what I'd like to do, and light myself on fire? I've got the white gas and a match ready.... MORE

You know... most people don't choose their music. People and executive boards high up in the record industry choose rappers/artists out of the masses to be groomed for radio and television exposure. They decide who comes up, and who does not. Take for example the Black Eyed Peas. The lyrics of their most recent songs are laughable at best and there are thousands of unknown artists who could outshine them easily... yet they are on my radio. The best rapper alive might live nex... MORE

Hello!

Some friends just pointed this out to me: the next stop on the Black Eyes Peas' "Product Endorsement Domination Tour": Snickers.
Amused? Disgusted?
(Take into account that the Mars family spent almost 500 million on a campaign to repeal the estate tax.)
Since I've taken part in spreading that virus, here's some hip-hop goodness to counteract it:
Absolutely classic Arsenio footage.... MORE
