All Music GuideExcerpted from the two-record set originally released on Yellow Note, this well-recorded five date features Evans' trio with Eddie Gomez and Marty Morell. The pianist is at the top of his form, starting with a lengthy workout of "Beautiful Love." There are no surprises among the remaining tracks, just typically brilliant playing by the trio for the period. While it's not a mandatory CD for jazz piano fans, Evans' collectors will be rewarded by obtaining it.
