AMG Review of Passion & Compassion
Andrew Hamilton
All Music GuideThe cover of Wright's final CD on Vision Records emulates the first two by depicting Wright dressed like a high-fashion model, this time in purple. The music, however, is much better than her previous Vision releases. This one is smooth and mellow, and caters to the urban/quiet storm crowd. The first cut "Help Is on the Way," is a superb Wright composition. The title track "Passion & Compassion" continues the urban love fest, which gets even better on "Deep Water," a torcher accented by a crying sax. She duets with a male vocalist on "Search 4 Love Is Over," written with Angelo Morris who plays an essential role on this CD as a musician. One of Wright's finest releases in sometime.
