Waiting for the Moon to Rise

'Cause the days are long where I come from

'Cause in my dreams the things
I'm wishing for keep coming true

I was following a trail
Clears the darkness out of sight
Looking like the spring
I'd never been along before

Chasing darkened skies above me

Creeping up behind my shoulder

Like the winter and the morning
Another day's begun
Close them tight
There's a train I want to catch
Come and dance beneath the light
The next few days I'm free
And streetlights stretch for miles
And the shadows that were sleeping
