I can't decide if he's channeling a 70's rocker (can't put my finger on who though) or if he's been hanging out with Tommy Sunshine too much. Either way, I like the song "Gamma Ray" a lot, especially because it sounds a lot like the tunes on Mellow Gold which is my fave Beck album. In July Beck put together a "Gamma Ray" video that resembled a surrealistic Gap advertisement. Then in early October one of our anonymous commenters noted:

MUSIC NEWS - Beck has just released a new version of the video for his tune, 'Gamma Ray' that features actress Chloe Sevigny . The new video (different from the July release), was directed by Jess Holzworth and premiered yesterday (Oct 28) on MySpace. Sevigny 's role is described as a "post-apocalyptic go-go dancer set loose in a Dada-ist pastiche of psychedelic imagery and characters ". WOW ! Beck has premiered the music video for ‘Gamma Ray ‘, the second single from his album ‘Modern Guilt ‘.
The music video, which was directed by Jess Holzworth , features actress Chloe Sevigny .
