I was so ready for bed...i made the fatal mistake of hitting the MOGOS one last time...and I see the song 'Simplfy"....which makes me think of this record by this band from Kent,Ohio and this song I love....so thanks Erin...no instead of going to bed at 2AM I will go at like 2:07...i hope your happy ;-)

I may have posted this before, i can't even track of all my ramblings...but I was so happy to see Grady's Kitchen's post(just a few down from here) about my buddies Beaten Awake. And I never pass up a chance to plug a Columbus band(well there are from Kent actually)....i love this song

I was surprised to hear that the new Andrew Bird album Armchair Apocrypha was being released by Fat Possum Records, more known for their throwback Juke Joint catalog that consists of Mississippi mainstays and the dearly departed, RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, T-Model Ford (not dead) and Hasil Adkins, in addition to a few releases by garagey newcomers such as the Black Keys and deadboy & the Elephantmen. But on the musical tip, check out another great Ohio band 'Beaten Awake'...their song Going Nowhere is an all time favorite of mine...
