A quarter-century is an extremely long time to wait before releasing a new album, but that’s just what Bauhaus has done. Go Away White has been released 25 years after the group’s last album, 1983’s Burning From the Inside. I doubt Peter Murphy and crew intended their fans to wait this long. But with their side projects, a follow-up album must have kept getting pushed aside. So the timing was finally right a year ago or so for all four members to start w... MORE

Been listening to the new Bauhaus album "Go Away White" and it really rocks. Loving it so much. So amazing that they released another album after 25 years. Also amazing that it is as good as it is!
There are so many great songs on the album it's hard to choose a favorite but this one's up there "International Bulletproof Talent"(this is a fan made video):
Murphy's voice still grabs me! And Daniel Ash's guitar just seers through as well as David J's bass and... MORE

You might remember that quote from Mike Myers 'Sprockets' skits on SNL . Well like Dieter (who was dressed as a techno goth), I think it's "time to dance!" In just a few short days I will be shelling out coin for Bauhaus's return CD "Go Away White". Here is a taste of what we can expect.

Peg and I busted out the fondue set last week. Every married couple seems to own one, being that it's one of those requisite wedding gifts that borders on the cliché (see also the toaster). Despite our avowed love for fondue, in the seven years we've been married, we've only used it once. That's probably because it's a fairly high maintenance meal. I'm not sure what prompted us to break it out last week, but we got a touch of the fondue fever, so we dutifully succumbed. ... MORE

After nearly 30 years the legendary goth rock pioneers Bauhaus are calling it quits with one last album.
Go Away White(Bauhaus Music) is due out on March 10 and features original members Peter Murphy, David J, Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins. It will be the first album from the gloomy English trio in 24 years.

Goth rockers Bauhaus will break-up for a second time following the release of their first album in fifteen years, Going Away White. This announcement follows the band's 2005 reunion at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
"We were getting along really well," drummer Kevin Haskins told Billboard.com. "But there was an incident that occurred. Some of us just felt that we didn't want to carry on as a working unit." That was the only reason for the split the band ... MORE

White on white translucent black capes
Back on the rack
Bela Lugosi's dead
The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box
Bela Lugosi's dead
Undead undead undead
The virginal brides file past his tomb
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count
Bela Logosi's dead
Undead undead undead well it's Halloween time and why not post the goth anthem "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Ba... MORE

In 1999, goth pioneers Bauhaus resurrected themselves for a worldwide tour, and many fans held their breaths, expecting mothballs to fly from closets and sounds and styles to clash. Instead, all reports from the tour were filled with lusty cries of renewed passion and vows of eternal love for our beloved Bauhaus, because, well, they were unbelievable. A live DVD and album is all that is left to remind us of that glorious year. But I find myself, when I listen to it again,... MORE

I've been on a major Bauhaus kick this weekend, catching up on my Bauhaus albums and letting my black-clad teenager out (No, I'm not talking about Morgan now.) This goes out to those who thought them only capable of sounding scary or creepy. Dig the sax from Daniel Ash, the meaty bass line by David J, and Peter Murphy's light touch. Now dance! Black eyeliner NOT required!... MORE
