Last weekend I had a visit to my lovely city from Zeroskilz. We hit the town HARD, and so for our last hurrah on Sunday, we shifted down to a low gear for Bat for Lashes. Opening was Chris Chavez. This guy was an amazing one-man-band. He was rather earnst and spirital for me (he did lots of the praying hands/bowing thing) but he had a Kings of Leon bluesy sound to him and would play a 12 string guitar AND a regular acoustic guitar _at the same time!_ Sounded grea... Well good news on the Mog Experiment front (1,2, 3. I looked at the mog charts and saw that Bat for Lashes has charted at #47:I'm pretty proud of the results, and would still like to see her get higher. I know in previous post I may have sounded like I am taking credit for "discovering" Bat for Lashes, but through my search on the interwebs for free MP3's to post, I found out that Bat for Lashes was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
