I am feeling sappy and sentimental, and as such I am reading and writing. I will spare you the details of both and instead offer a song that is kind of sappy, if you are in a sappy mood when you listen to it... It has been on repeat here since the debate ended. Getting my life in order. I almost wrote "odder" which is actually what it feels like right now.
But, I had to come back because I saw this video:
I love the album, "Cease To Begin". It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like one of those beards those mofos are sporting.
And like fake bottlesmashing, too.
OK, wish me luck on returning to life.

Back in March, I had the chance to attend a concert at my favorite local music venue, The Showroom, for a regional musician named Tyler Ramsey, who hails from Asheville, NC, which is about an hour away from where I currently reside. Saw these guys at The Hi-Tone here in Memphis and it was by far one of the best live performances I've seen. This band is unbelievable and I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

I'm not sure if the babelfish translation did that justice, but I must say that I'm in love with Band of Horses. I just got back from a week in Costa Rica and Cease to Begin definitely got me through those 6 hour bus rides (not to mention the three flights it took to get there and the three to get back... Seattle to Dallas, Dallas to Miami, Miami to San Jose, Costa Rica. Does that make sense to anybody? Eh, I guess that's why the tickets were so cheap)! This song remin... MORE

As if there already wasn't enough enough kick-ass bands from Seattle, Band of Horses has come swiftly galloping into the scene. It's very rare when an artist comes along and grabs my attention so intensely that I fall deeply and completely in love with them. In fact, the last artist to have that effect on me was Death Cab For Cutie and that head-over-heels infatuation began in 2002. So, you could say, they are few and far between. My new adoration is with Band of Horses. A good friend of mine told me to download "No One's Gonna Love You" from Cease to Begin. So, I did and it was a great track.... MORE

I really liked the debut album, Everything All The Time, by Band of Horses, but the more recent one, Cease to Begin, just didn't do it for me as a whole. Sure, the single "Is There A Ghost?," is excellent, and "Marry Song" is even better, but overall I found it disappointing.

Sooo, it's been a super long time since I've written in here... Aaand, I really have only a couple of things to say. So, I'll get to it! Around June of this year, I got a job. It sucked, and I quit a couple of months later. Now I have another job, and only have a week left before I'm done there (but this time it's cause I'm moving).
