"Pissing In The Wind"I've been pissing in the windI chanced a foolish grinAnd dribbled on my chinNow the ground shifts beneath my feetThe faces that I greet never know my nameJust give me somethingI'll take nothingJust give me somethingI'll take nothingNow the drought is crippled by the rainThat hammers on my painWe lose ourselves againBut all we need is to find a place to lookOur worm is on it...
Perfect for a Saturday afternoon drive, I just found this very cool cover of The Smiths Oscillate Wildly by Badly Drawn Boy. I added this cover to a mix I made for Michelle. It's a collection of BDB songs he recorded on various radio shows for her drive to work on the very busy 210.
Not only does he have one of the best band names in pop music, but Badly Drawn Boy aka Damon Gough can write some amazing songs. I read somewhere that if Beck is this generations Dlyan, then Gough is it's Donovan...and as far as I am concerned that is some pretty high praise. Here is a wonderful acoustic take of 'Born In The UK'
This live version of Badly Drawn Boy's River Sea Ocean recorded at Glastobury cheered me up today. I so need a vacation. Only three weeks out. Vegas, Cubs Baseball games and relaxing with my baby. It's gonna be awesome!
Damon Gough is one of Michelle's favorite artists but I always respected that never gave a chance until I met her. This is a sweet version of the title track from his last album Born in the U.K.
Nothing's Going To Change Your MindAdd to My Profile | More VideosWhen someone owe you an explanation is like they owe your money. Sometimes you want that fucking money back. Sometimes you know they will avoid to pay you back for ever. Actually, If he’d only said that he was sorry and acknowledged how badly he’d let me down then I’d have been able to forgive him. I wouldn't respect him, bu
Last night was the third time I saw Badly Drawn Boy. It was nothing like the first two times. The first time I saw Badly Drawn Boy, I went to see him because 1) It was free and 2) I didn't get Coldplay $2 bill tickets, haha. This was in Chicago, where I was living for a month for a Columbia College summer thing. I had a curfew then, and was somewhat worried about making it on time, but it was co...
But now thanks to Badly Drawn Boy... Like a Virgin is a perfect segue into Silent Sigh:I think the audio sounds rather amazing considering I was RIGHT next to the speaker.
But I was wondering why MOG was showing that I was only listening to one song .. non-stop. Thanks to rock or death and the rest of the MOG developers for the forthcoming MOG-o-Matic fix: "Posts: 617 Vista support for MOG-O-MATIC on PC - coming in next releaseHi folks - for those of you brave souls already using Windows Vista, the current version of MoM (1.0.3.86) will not work. We are currently...
So yeah, I have no idea where I first heard this song. I think I just saw this video on tv one day, and got hooked. I remember not being a big fan of the rest of the album though. In any case, I really like this song, and the video is really cute. And I have BDB tickets for tomorrow. Hoorah!
Here's a love song of a different kind, one that satisfies me at so many levels (none of which are carnal). The first time I heard A Minor Incident, I couldn't get it out of my head. Being as out of it as I generally am in regards to current music, I hadn't even heard of Badly Drawn Boy, and only came across this song because it was part of a compilation put together by the author Nick Hornby....
I mean he used to write great catchy pop songs, but his last albums were such a disappointment.Anyhow I wanted to check out his new one _Born in the UK_ on stage, and I'm very sorry to say that I was not convinced once again...The tunes seemed so ordinary..I'll keep on listening to _The Hour Of The Bewilderbeast_ thoughSo, What happened to BDB? a lack of inspiration, an urge to become extremel...

Nothing I like more than a bit of Badly Drawn Boy to listen to. Naturally I'm very excited bout the up-coming release of his new album Born In The UK - plus his new single just came out, of the same name, check the video...It's a bit different to anything he's done before, mainly evident through the drums on this track. But I like it, and I think it's a good sort of track to introduce the new...
