Not only does he have one of the best band names in pop music, but Badly Drawn Boy aka Damon Gough can write some amazing songs. I read somewhere that if Beck is this generations Dlyan, then Gough is it's Donovan...and as far as I am concerned that is some pretty high praise. Last night was the third time I saw Badly Drawn Boy. It was nothing like the first two times.
The first time I saw Badly Drawn Boy, I went to see him because 1) It was free and 2) I didn't get Coldplay $2 bill tickets, haha. This was in Chicago, where I was living for a month for a Columbia College summer thing. I had a curfew then, and was somewhat worried about making it on time, but it was cool.

The new Badly Drawn Boy album is superb! I a little bit biased, yes, but I really think that it's one of his best albums so far. Musically speaking I believe it is his best effort yet. It didn't hit me as hard on the first listen, except for a few songs, but with each listen after that it gets me everytimej. Great stuff.... MORE
