Local band Bad Dudes do the math-rock thing pretty well. Math-rock consists, as far as I can tell, of weird time signatures, snaking guitars, fancy drums, and awful lyrics. That being said, I like math-rock. Maybe it’s the incessant noise or the choreographed hairpin turns that I find exhilarating, but it’s a kind of music that I’m sort of enthralled by.
