Backstreet Boys Biography

Source: Wikipedia

The Backstreet Boys are a Grammy-nominated male vocal pop group that enjoyed enormous success in the mid-late 1990s and 2000s. They have charted 12 U.S Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, 16 U.K. Top 10 hits and have won numerous awards, making them the highest selling boyband of all-time. Since returning to the music scene in 2005, their sound changed drastically, incorporating only live instruments (some of which they play themselves) and a rock edge. So ... contrary to what you may have thought, the Backstreet Boys are still a group and in fact have a new album coming out. The album is due in October, and the first single is called "Inconsolable," written by the same scribe behind Nick Lachey's "What's Left of Me." This will mark the Boys first album as a quartet, following the departure of Kevin Richardson - one of the bearded ones. In related news, Justin Timberlake is too busy being an in-demand megastar to reunit... MORE

Blog post image preview The Backstreet Boys have a new single out that is sure to send people screaming - 12 year-olds for joy and the rest of us in agony. “Inconsolable” will make it to radio August 27th. The track was produced by the same dude who produced Nick Lachey “What’s Left Of Me”, Katherine McPhee “Ordinary World.” It does not feature founding member Kevin Richardson who left the band to pursue other interests, like preaching. The boy band's four remaining members, Nick Carter, H... MORE

Blog post image preview I dont know about the rest of you guys, but I've just been DYING for an autographed N'Sync poster.
In the aftermath of that Lou Pearlman disaster ,the feds have started to auction off his belongings to recover some of the money he's stolen over the years. Some of the auction goodies include:
+ hundreds of pieces of office furniture
    + airplane parts (WTF)
    + lava lamps
    + 80,000 microphones
+ gold and platinum records from 'NSYNC, Backstreet Boys... MORE

So, as noted in the previous post, I've recently moved to S. Korea and so far I've heard a ton of hip-hop and bubblegummy pop music blasting from various cars and storefronts; sometimes it's Korean, but often it's American (they didn't get the memo here that Backstreet Boys lost their shine in 2001; keep in mind that I am an ardent supporter of "I Want It That Way.") It's kind of like revisiting my fourteen year old self. On acid. Angst does not seem to exist in pop culture h... MORE
