Good goddess, I can't believe it's been over ten years since BT's debut cd came out in '96. As the saying goes "time flies . . . . " I didn't pick this up until '98 . I was blown away by the gorgeous soundscapes on this album. And, of course, Tori Amos does the vocals on the beautiful track "Blue Skies". I couldn't get enough of this song when I bought the cd. BT's new album This Binary Universe, oh my God, it's beautiful! This is a total departure from the techno/dance sound usually associated with BT. It's not quite ambient either. It's complex and multi-layed electronica on a level that shows a maturity I didn't expect from this artist. I wish I had better words to describe it, but just give it a listen. This goes to the top of my Lay On The Floor list. Magnificent!

The Burning Man (Festival) has been one of those unexplicably re-occuring topics of conversation in my life lately. I've never attended, but keep hearing about it and think that I might have to make the trek next year.
Anyone who's attended... got any thoughts, stories, etc.?
P.S. Jimmy Buffet was detained for transporting ecstacy in France yesterday.
