last night was one of the most frightening and stressful ones in my life. It all ended at 3 AM with M and I driving home from after five hours in Urgent Care singing and trying to analyze the lyrics to "Rock Lobster" from The Family Guy episode clip above.

I instantly fell in love with this band when I first heard them when I working in Peaches Record Store in 1980. They were everything that progressive rock was not. Funny. Ironic. They were horrible at playing their lo-fi instruments. Their songs were short, hook-laden, and above all silly. I've seen them in concert a couple of times, and they exceeded my expectations. This is the first song I ever clearly remember hearing on the radio, when I was what?, probably 4 or 5? I had to get up and take a bath and my sister had the radio on in our bathroom and she asked if I wanted her to leave it on. After the bathtub was finally full and I jumped in, this was the first song to come on.
