Awesome Color is a power trio out of the Midwest. Cross Black Sabbath with The Stooges and you'll come close to their sound. I'm usually not a huge fan of this type of music, but this album has me hooked. Recommended if you're looking for some good current hard/noise rock. Thurston Moore signed them to his label.
