Authority Zero is a great band. Not only are they solid musicians with a never-ending stream of catchy beats, but they have a lot to say. They also manage to be one of the few artists out there who is able to get their point across without sounding preachy. I must admit that their newest album still hasn't completely grown on me, but I have a lot of respect for them as musicians. Enough about that...on to the song. "Find Your Way" is my favorite AZ song. On a casual... MORE
The Authority Zero concert last night was pretty f’ing great. (Hell, even my husband liked it and he is notoriously hard to please.) We missed the first two bands that played, which turned out to be a local band that wasn’t listed on the line-up and Patent Pending. But, we got inside in time to see Tokyo Rose. Everything sounds better live I think, so they weren’t bad. I hit the merch table and picked up a sweet AZ hoodie and got an EP that has 3 songs that are going ... MORE
Being a crazy fan bout AZ, thought id drop this message and video, just in case some haven't heard yet and for enjoyment of others!.. Blasts from these guys' past, all the fun and crazy stuff they did, and in the now their still at it..Love these guys and their Music! Hey everyone, Authority Zero here. We just returned home from a tour on the west coast. Had a killer time, and also took time along the run to do a video for our song "No Regrets" off of our latest album "1... MORE
Haha, the first thought that flitted across your mind was the right one. I woke up Saturday morning to this message on my phone “Hey Ashley, it’s Ryan. Authority Zero is playing at Jaxx tomorrow night and since I know you’re retarded about driving long distances to see them – I thought I’d let you know.” Yep. Haha… So, in a moment of inspiration I checked to see if they were playing here before I made plans to drive back up to VA. Lucky me, they were playing that s... MORE
The lazy thing may be debatable, but I definitely need help. I just got back from vacation and sat in airports for a few hours today listening to my staples... I decided that I need to increase the speed at which my collection of music grows. Not just my general collection, but the stuff that energizes me. See Find Your Way - Authority Zero, see World's On Heroin - All, see Laura - Flogging Molly, and especially see Separation of Church and State and We Got Two Jealous Aga... MORE
I’ve also been neglecting my duty to tell y’all about the new Authority Zero album that came out a few months ago – 12:34. 12:34 is a little different than their other two albums. I’d say it has a little less of a punk feel and just a tad more rock to it. They still have a few ska influenced songs (influenced to me: the rhythm but no horns), but they aren’t the highlights of the album. The songs that stand out for me are the ones that speed it up…..you know what, scr... MORE
Think a mixture of Sublime, Bad Religion & Pennywise with a dose of skate punk, ska and reggae influences and you'll reach the pretty distinctive sound of this track by Arizona natives, Authority Zero. With a pulsating back beat and the expected choppy guitar of its ska-influences, Jason DeVores simultaneously blustery and yet poignant vocals make this track worth a second listen. Pleasantly surprised.
So I'm sneaking in some mog time to check out the new features and get acclimated. First stop AZ artist lounge of course. I'm loving it. The artist lounges are guaranteed to become one of the favorite tools of all the EMCDs. But guess what I just found out - there is a mogger that listens to AZ more than I do. I just don't believe it. Hey Mog! There is not a "punk" genre. I'm sure that's just an oversight and you will be fixing it shortly. :) Also, could you ma... MORE
Going to go see Authority Zero again this Sunday, thanks to watchbatteries telling me about the show. I thought it was a perfect excuse to post another song to tempt you...
I said song, because this guy apparently attending video making class with Blair. (I kid. ;) )
Edit: The little clicky listen button up there plays the acoustic worked over version. I don't recommend that one. Click the video instead.

So I headed down to the Tempe Music Festival last night. Since the crew and I go there a little late we decided to walk around the out skirts instead of buying an actual ticket. We started by listening to Authority Zero rock out the stage right by my house. After several more beers we moved onto the main stage where we caught the last part of O.A.R. Fray was the last band up for the night, the supposed 'head liner' but more people were leaving then anything else. It seeme... MORE
Two more days until Authority Zero.
The bad news is that I checked out the other bands playing and they suck. I get the feeling the place is going to be overrun with kids.
The good news is AZ isn't the headliner so my old ass won't be out all night.
(Oh, any moggers that see this that speak Spanish - there are some Spanish lyrics here. Can you tell me what they are saying?)
A little bit harder this time. Perfect fusion of punk tempo and trashy redneck hard rock guitars.
Now what in the Hell
What am I supposed to do?
Just turn around and regret it
Or push on and see it through
See life is a blessing
One big fucking session
That's right in front of you.
Go! Go to the Sky
Devote your life
Don't you want to believe?
Go! Go to the Sky
Devote your life
No boundaries
