All Music GuideChicago's Atombombpocketknife isn't as heavy as their name makes them out to be. But rather, Alpha Sounds features a guitar-driven noise of post-punk and quiet vocals. There's more melody than feedback-laced noise to Atombombpocketknife; abrasive, but not obnoxiously heavy. This album would be more fitting as a Touch and Go release.
