In my previous post, I raved about Aussie animator extraordinaire, Paul Robertson's "Kings of Power 4 Billion%". Well when I get interested in something, I just gotta find out more.
Well it seems, Mr. Robertson has also done a video or two for Architecture in Helsinki. I'm not sure whether these were contracted by the band or not, but feast your eyes on their retro goodness.

I haven't managed to let this record escape the confines of my car, which, considering the power that this song has to overcome me with the urge to BOUNCE, is a fairly frightening thing. I've been on a nostalgic kick recently which has inspired me to listen to some older albums... and have to confess that this song has been on repeat. It's flippin wonderful. The bass line "remember the foggy windows..." reminds me of that old monster mash song. I'm instantly 8 years old ... MORE
Architecture in Helsinki: Places Like This. Sounds like: Nothing I've ever heard. They are a six-piece collective from Australia with a frenetic energy that makes them completely irresistible. Live, they never stopped moving. Each time they finished a song, everyone switched instruments and they started all over again. Bonkers. Dave Gahan: Hourglass. Sounds like: Sex. His voice is so ooh. And the music is so ahh. All I can say is, put your business socks on. Damn. ... MORE
The Third video from the Places Like This album, documents the immense vibe of Sydney Pyrotechnician, Andy Davis as he goes about exploding stuff on the set for Architecture in Helsinki's "Debbie." Directed by Josh Logue.

I should have written this post about a month ago, really. But, the album I'm about to talk about has just recently grown on me. Said work of songs is that of Architecture in Helsinki and their most recent work, Places Like This. The songs that stick out most are "Hold Music" and "Heart It Races", both of which are more or less singles. Each song is catchy in its own right, and good to cheer you up. I thought, hey, it's good. Maybe my station is the only one that cares? ... MORE
I bought Architecture in Helsinki Places like This and this is the second single with it´s video, and the only thing that I can say is that is a really good album not as better as the old one but this australian band amuses me with its weirds videos.
Tomorrow I´ll get the new album and this song does not seem sad at all to me, the video is weird and freaky, love it!
