Arcade Fire will release a film documenting the planning and recording of Neon Bible with footage of the band at their Montréal studio, recording the NB promotional videos, along with live footage and clips from the road. The video, directed by Vincent Morisset (of the previous weirdo/badass Arcade Fire video for "Neon Bible") and shot by Vincent Moon...yes, the same dude from La Blogothe..
Just a quickie to let you know the exciting news that ARCADE FIRE will be releasing a documentary video of the making and touring of their seminal album, Neon Bible. It's the first ever DVD they've released of their live performances and they claim it will give an intimate view of this most private of bands. It [...]

Cate Blanchett is amazing in just about everything she plays and apparently had to convince Brad Pitt into doing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button . I'm definitely intrigued by the premise of the film and David Fincher at the helm, who wouldn't be? Not to mention I've seen Arcade Fire's "My Body Is A Cage" being fittingly applied in a teaser for the film ad nauseam over the last week.. st...
Man, that organ hits at the exact right moment, doesn't it? Great editing on this newest trailer for David Fincher/Brad Pitt's new film the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I've got high hopes for this one, as I've been following it for some time. Here's hoping it's as great as all the talent involved would [...]
This is a new project released by Arcade Fire, seven parts that are up for viewing for a limited time.... take the time its worth it! Some excellent footage and filming... toggle it full screen for best effect!
"Children wake up, Hold your mistake up, Before they turn the summer into dust."This rare live acoustic version found buried in the files of Benevolent Pirate's treasure chest of gems is from a KCRW acoustic session. Wake Up cheered me up last night. I had one of those days, we've all had them when you realize you are human, you make mistakes but at the end of the day yr thankful because the on...
This is one of those instances when images of a film, in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the sounds and lyrics of a song, this being "My Body is a Cage" by Arcade Fire link together in a near perfect blend of artistic synchonicity. I hope that the band allows this song to be played in the film, even if it's during the credits, My Body is a Cage appears to fit with the themes in Benjami...
Is it just me, or does the new Arcade Fire . . . kinda suck? Neon Bible is definitely better than the dreadful new Stooges album or the merely boring new Shins album, but comes nowhere close to Funeral. I'm not one to complain simply when a band that has made a record that I liked changes their sound on a subsequent record. So I'm not disappointed in Neon Bible because it sounds less anthemic t...
this song came on the radio today as I was picking my younger brother up from school, and I put it on FULL BLAST. it's such an epic song, and I love it. it makes me want to see the band live so much, just hearing their music. the echos, the buildups, the layers, everything is just perfect. then it got me thinking to the days when my older brother would pick me up from school with Mac Dre playin...
One of my favorite Arcade Fire songs, this is a more frantic and manic version of Rebellion (lies). This is the first song that I ever heard from Arcade Fire. I have one memory of this song and it involves my ex. I'm a singer, by singer, I mean not professional but I love to sing in the shower, in my sleep and even in my car I'm singing. She never really sung, she was too shy about her voice.On...
Arcade Fire have cancelled the final eight dates of their current European tour due to illness. Band leader/singer Win Butler has been suffering from a sinus/bronchial infection. "I am backstage at the venue in Oslo and I just had to make the very sad decision to cancel the rest of the European tour.," he posted to the group's website Saturday, March 24. "I have been suffering from a sinus and...
DPrince74 turned me on to this Montreal band and I was very happy to hear good Canadian music; especially from Montreal - the only city in which the sun rises in the south, the only city in which I ever got lost (twice, once in the Metro and once aboveground) - because the music scene wasn't all that hot when I lived there a hundred years ago or so. Speaking of years, my annee wasn't sans lumi...
The Uber-Cool looking movie Where The Wild Things Are has a trailer that uses Arcade Drie's song, "Wake Up" It really adds to my anticipation of this film.
