I had a great day at work, and a pretty big part of the greatness was thanks to having Arcade Fire playing for most of the time. Posting Wake Up while I head out to the porch to wind down and watch the bats defy gravity in the dusk.

Damn, adding Arcade Fire music to a trailer works so well. It actually was a big factor in me wanting to see Benjamin Button. That unofficial trailer featuring "My Body Is A Cage" was awesome. Then I saw the movie. Here's a trailer for Where The Wild Things Are, the Spike Jonze directed movie based on the Maurice Sendek book, that features "Wake Up". The movie will be out in October. Looks cool...

For some reason track seven from Arcade Fire’s first album, 2004’s Funeral (amazon) (itunes), has been stuck in my head for almost a month now. From the repeated and chanted chorus of “ohhh” to the story Win Butler weaves throughout the song I just can’t seem to get it out of my thoughts. So I thought I’d troll the interwebs and find a few various versions of this track to cheer ev

Spike Jonze has a present for you. It’s a mixtape called We Love You So (which is also the name of his sweet blog). I haven’t listened to it yet, so I can’t tell you where it falls on the quirk-o-meter, but I do know that it includes the stripped down version of Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” that was playing in the Where The Wild Things Are trailer. I know I’ve been yearning for that for m

Arcade Fire’s partially re-recorded version of “Wake Up” pulled on all of our heartstrings recently in the Where The Wild Things Are trailer, but the song isn’t actually in the film, you see, nor is it on Karen O and the Kids’ official...

When a great band, writes a great song, and performs it in a captivating way, it can grab hold and move you. Watch the Arcade Fire bring out the best in people, in this goosebumps inducing take on Wake Up. The fun starts about a minute in.

this song came on the radio today as I was picking my younger brother up from school, and I put it on FULL BLAST. it's such an epic song, and I love it. it makes me want to see the band live so much, just hearing their music. the echos, the buildups, the layers, everything is just perfect. then it got me thinking to the days when my older brother would pick me up from school with Mac Dre playin...

———————————————————————————#5words: Jamie MiltonArcade Fire – Wake UpMoments like this only come along so often. Arcade Fire are playing Reading Festival, post-‘Neon Bible’, sun on its way down. They play to a static crowd, one not all too familiar with the material on their second record, one drained from the energetic performance from B

I remember always reading these while I was a kid when my Mom worked in a doctors office. Spike Jonze brings the adaptation of "Where The Wild Things Are"to the big screen, the trailer accompanied by none other than the Arcade Fire looks brilliant.

The Spike Jonze directed movie looks like it’s going to be awesome. The monsters look amazing, the Jim Henson Company (most known for creating The Muppets) did a fantastic job, Peter ;-) ;-). Anyways, the trailer looks fantastic and it features a wonderful version of the Arcade Fire song “Wake Up.” If anyone has [...]
