this album is coming up on it's ten year anniversary but the music refuses to be dated, a very rare condition for music of that time. it sounds good enough to be included on any shelf from early eighties noise rock through today's post-emo garage resurrection. it is an incredible and complete album with desperate vocals and a balance of shifting guitar moods, mostly sliding somewhere between heavier rock genres.

I have just recently bought the above pictured item. I own it on disc, but upon reading that it was being released on vinyl there was something nostalgic about owning this masterpiece on vinyl. (I still need a record player though...in due time, in due time) Appleseed Cast's Low Level Owl - Volume 1 and 2 are meant to be listened to as one long epic. It's blowing me away. Buy it now. No, buy it yesterday. You can't? Then build a time machine and then go buy it yesterday. If your time machine has a "week ago" setting, turn the dial to that one. Or better yet, the "year ago" setting. But it won't be out then. So, you're screwed. "Week Ago" is enough for now.

Heh ... So apparently by logging onto the same account from a PC at home and a Mac at work, I corrupted some of the inner workings of how Gracenote works with my account. Whoops. As for that, later on tonight I'll be deleting this account and then subsequently creating two new accounts - one for me at home on the PC, and another for me at work on the Mac. On a day that feels frighteningly a lot like fall I am digging _The Appleseed Cast_ never thought of Emo as a good productivity booster, but today it has done the trick. Not sure if can manage to write a longer sentence like that again. Enjoy your weekend peoples.

Well, it looks like The Appleseed Cast are in the final four! YAY! After looking like they weren't gonna make it due to lack of votes, officals discovered that the integrity of the votes had been compromised, giving bands FAR more votes than they actually had. When the dust settled, cheaters were gone and four bands were left: Everybody Else, Kate Starr, The Appleseed Cast, and Tonedeff

I'm still trying to figure this Mog blog thing out...
Anyway. Convict is one of my favorite songs right now. I think it's how spacious and atmospheric it is. It's great background music, or even good just for closing your eyes and escaping from life for a few minutes. All of Low Level Owl Vol. 1 is like that, really, but Convict especially.
So... uh... did I do this right?
