What do you think? Trippy innit? It looks even weirder on my MOG page (where the dragon shows thru)...
does anyone know what happened to "collected animals," the animal collective forum? its been down for some time now and im losing hope that it will come back up.
does this have anything to do with them creating a new website?
thanks, in advance...
Street Flash is nearly seven minutes of spaced out hollers, electronics and lullabies that luxuriate in a chord sequence running through a delay that sounds like it's made of honey. Threatening to explode but laying back on itself instead the track is like a particular... MORE
Well, after previewing my list here a little while ago, I've finally finished my list of my 10 favorite albums of 2007.
If you want to see what made my list, check out the article, which is now up on BC Magazine.
In addition, there's extra content in the version I put up on my blog that begins where the BC Magazine version ends.
Today I got Winters Love stuck in my head at work. I super love this song times about a billion, and its sweet, intimate sound kept chiming about in my head. It was really nice.

I'm not sure how I forgot this album on my 2007 list. I think I liked Sung Tongs more, but Strawberry Jam had 3 (or so) songs that I really got into.

Same deal with Arcade Fire, even though I haven't liked any of their full-length albums. I liked their first EP back in 2004 (which they're still pulling material from: No Cars ... MORE
This was one of the most exciting years for music for me in a long time. It feels like we are on the threshold of something new, a new era. I can't put my finger on it, but the times are changing. It seems like music is finally being taken back from the corporations. Here is my list of top ten albums of 2007 with a slight bent towards psychedelic pop. I want to thank Radiohead for keeping true to their ethics as few big artists are willing to and a big thanks to Anima... MORE
Well, I finally moved away from Hawaii, settling these weary bones here in Maryland. Better yet, though, is that I got my desktop back after our month-long separation.
so i saw animal collective at webster hall in nyc a few sundays ago. it was an all-ages show, chock-full of chaperones and fake IDs. but the show was pretty solid. the band stopped short in the middle of "fireworks" because avey thought the sound was bassing out too much. they played a few brand new songs. this was one of the new songs that grabbed me -- it's a video from july 2007 so u may have already seen it. it's got a little latin beat toward the last half with ni...
