I am highly anticipating Ani's 2008 tour in honor of her latest Canon. I know a lot about Classical music, because that is what I do. However, I probably know more of Ani's badass songs than I know Schubert Lieder. That's a good thing. Despite keeping a relatively low profile in 2007, singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco will tour the US in 2008, barely missing a stop. She will start '08 off with a two week east coast tour, kicking off in Huntington, NY on January 17th. DiFranco heads back to the road on March 3rd in Athens, OH and will play the Langerado Music Festival in the Florida everglades March 9th. ok heres the deal, Ani is totally legit. There is not a single person that cannot find themselves relating to a song of hers, or admiring her passion that takes over when she sings. Whether you listen to Untouchable Face, Unrequited, As Is, Little Plastic Castles, Done Wrong, whatever the hell it may be, Ani DiFranco is one super badass chick. And if anyone is looking for some empowering music... then you should probably just listen to her and everything will be allllright!

This is off Ani DiFranco's new career overview album, Canon. It's a newly recorded version of "Both Hands."
Ani is one of the biggest stars to do things completely her way -- releasing all her albums on her own label.

Man. I don't know about you guys but I have had a hard time with MOG lately. I can never seem to bring the site up and then when I do it just crawls. But I made it on tonight. And before I crash and burn after a very long day I just wanted y'all to know that I put up a bunch of 4th of July themed songs on bringmeup.com. So head on over there. Ani DiFranco took some down time after giving birth to a girl in January. Now the hippie-chic, twot-rock diva is heading back on tour in late summer.
