Never in my life am I so moved by a singer's voice and emotions when they sing. Angelique speaks to my soul and my heart as no other besides India.Arie who is African American while Angelique is from Africa. For me as an African American woman, it is comforting hearing and seeing someone who looks like me, but her appeal is to the masses. I am tripping because as I am listening to Angelique Kidjo's song, Pearls, and I yelled out to myself this is Sade's song!! Angelique's rendition is beautiful because she has collaborated with Carlos Santana and Josh Groban. Carlos is tearing it up on the guitar. Josh Groban's melodic voice is a great duet with Angelique.
