The Andre Previn Trio (consisting of pianist Previn, bassist Red Mitchell and drummer Frank Capp) pays tribute to Fred Astaire by performing nine songs (plus Previn's original title song) that were performed by Astaire in movies. Since the famous dancer/singer always had superior material to work with, Previn had a lot to choose from. Highlights include "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "A Foggy Day," "A Fine Romance" and "Fascinatin' Rhythm." This LP is worth searching for.
